Comic Art Highlights

I love working in the medium of graphic story-telling, and I am inspired by European-style pacing and design, as well as some elements of indie American graphic novel literature. I most often work with inks in a ligne claire detailed drawing style in black and white or color, with various elements of digital design as well. My work is personal and often non-fiction, and I enjoy pushing myself in new ways with style, expression, and form.

The Glass Urchin

My autobiographical webcomic which I have been updating twice weekly, every week for over two years. Although the stories are true, I draw myself and my friends in whimsical forest critter forms. I also have published two handmade mini-books and one professionally bound collection with pages from this comic. The Glass Urchin continues to update on Tuesdays and Thursdays at glassurchin.com

Live & Love Jersey City

A one-page non-fiction comic I created and continue to update for the Jersey City Independent‘s bi-annual NEW magazine. I personally research historical buildings in Jersey City through interviews with builders, historians and library research, then I compile the information into a single page color comic. I also created the identity and logo of the comic.

Darwin!

NERD Comics‘ first anthology, all about the man who changed the world. Darwin! collects work from nine contributors including an eight page comic written and drawn by me about the history of the Darwin fish symbol. I also did the cover design and promotional materials for the two conventions it successfully debuted at.

Cats VS Ghosts

A new comic in the making, Cats VS Ghosts is a fictional young adult comic written and inked by me about trio of cats who guard an old lady’s apartment from hauntings of the netherworld.
