Auilix.com is the online portfolio of the artist A. “Auilix” Bogin. I currently live in Union Square, NYC and I have been schooled at Parsons and The School of Visual Arts in illustration, graphic design and web page development. I also do illustration, animation, comic art, and production design both professionally and personally. I work mainly with ink brushes and pens, but I also have experience with watercolor paint, Japanese calligraphy, sculpture, and markers. I often use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash for my pieces.
The themes of my artwork varies greatly from capturing fanciful characters to casually rendering ever-changing urban landscapes. The Glass Urchin is my autobiographical comic and, although the characters are in a cartoon style, I strive to keep the comic as true-to-life as possible. I also enjoy supporting locally,especially in and around Jersey City, by inserting local flavor into my projects as much as I can. I continue to work with Jersey City Independent to create a Jersey City-based non-fiction comics to promote special or endangered historical landmarks. I have also created event illustrations, such as posters and promotional and fundraising art. Most recently, I have been working in the game and app industry creating characters, making animations, designing levels, and a multitude of other game assets. In addition, I have experience with toy design character illustration, providing several illustrations to toy assortments. Alongside my visual work in the game, app, toy, and board game industry, I also have plenty of experience with quality assurance and game testing.

About this layout
Auilix’s Portfolio 2 with Slide was made by myself in HTML, CSS, and PHP. I got a great amount of help from my friend Nikki with integrating the sliding functionality of the header into my layout, as well as some other minor bugs. The Slide javascript was provided by the Sliding Door WP theme.
